CHDR conducts clinical research on new and existing drugs for pharmaceutical companies, but also initiates its own research. What does the job look like?

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Team Leader Statistics. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Statistics team and ensuring the statistical quality and integrity of studies performed at our organization. Your expertise will be vital in advising project teams, performing statistical analysis and supporting researchers in translating statistical output to the original questions.

As a team leader you lead the team, by motivating, coaching and counseling the team members. You manage the efficiency and performance of the team and you will instruct, train and supervise (new) staff. Next to that, you are accountable for a proper registration of authorizations.

Next to the team leader responsibilities, you are responsible for the statistical quality and integrity of studies performed at CHDR and analysis of the data. You advise the Project Team on study design and feasibility by power analysis, you perform randomization for studies, chooses statistical techniques and software, programs statistical analysis and statistical reports and interprets results of analysis and supports researchers in the translation of statistical output to the original question.

Required skills

As a team leader you have a master's degree or a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field. Proven experience in statistical analysis and study design within a research or pharmaceutical environment is highly valued. Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, SAS, Python) is required. Analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are important for you as a team leader.
